"All the roads I have walked on, taught me how to keep my eyes always on you."
This is a song about surviving. About having resilient faith in God that stands firm. It is a very personal song, born from heartache, tears and sleepless nights. I have learned some hard faith lessons in the last few years, particularly what it means to stand by the courage of your convictions and not compromise your faith, even if it costs you everything or everyone you hold dear. “Friends and foes come and go. My trust remains in you.”
It echoes the words of men such as Job, Joshua and Moses, with bold declarations that nothing will shake me, no matter what happens. So like Job, when battered by terrible circumstances, I refuse to blame God, but instead I look to him even more. He is the God of the Breakthrough. He is my God, my Rock and my Deliverer. Scripture references: Job 13:15. "Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him." Joshua 24:15. "But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Exodus 15:2. "The Lord is my strength and my song."
